WINE ENTHUSIAST - 2008 Krupp Brothers Black Bart's Bride
"Powerful and intense, this is rich in flavors of tropical fruit, orange, nectarine and sweet peach. Oak is evident in the vanilla and buttered toast notes, but they’re in keeping with the underlying wine’s volume. Exotic and appealing, it’s a wine that will present a pairing challenge; try something complex, like Asian fusion."—S.H.
INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLAR - 2008 Krupp Brothers Black Bart's Bride
"Bright yellow. Captivating, soil-inflected aromas of peach, lichee, smoked meat, flowers and sexy oak; smells like an Old World wine. Lush, rich and slightly sweet, with an opulent mouthfeel and an umami-like saline character. This plump yet shapely wine wears its near-15% alcohol gracefully. Finishes with very good subtle persistence. I'd enjoy this wine in the next year or two."—ST
