Attractive aromas of dried herbs, sage and fennel, boysenberry, blueberries, black olives, creamed corn and cedar. The palate transitions to sweet currants, dark cherries and ripe plums. A beautifully crafted and focused Merlot, medium bodied and structural with a sweet fruit center and fine persistent tannins. A wonderfully supple, persistent wine.

"Elegant and well-structured, with appealing aromas of red currant, cedar and tomato leaf that lead to complex flavors of ripe plum, bittersweet chocolate and olive. Tannins ease in at the finish. Drink now through 2016."—T.F.
"Held back for four years, this Merlot is fully drinkable now. It’s a lush, fancy wine whose rich cherry, currant, cocoa, red licorice, spice and sandalwood flavors are enhanced by finely ground mountain tannins. The vineyard is high up on Atlas Peak." –SH
