Like the sophisticated gentleman bandit of the late 1800s who crisscrossed Northern California robbing stagecoaches, Black Bart serves as the Krupp Brothers' label for its wild-yet-sophisticated Rhone-varietal wines. Wines include two Syrahs, Marsanne, a whie blend called Black Bart's Bride, and in select years a Syrah Port.
Polished, complex nose; aromas of orange pith, key lime pie, white peach, stone fruits, nut, spice, apricot Danish with clotted cream. The innate generosity of the palate is tightly wound around a spine of minerality, this wine will develop superbly, gaining richness without losing its varietal identity.
Berry licorice fruit, spice and marzipan aromatics immediately capture your attention. A beautifully rich pallet attributed to quality fruit, not high brix levels. The wine dances across the tongue with great acidity and vibrancy, the finish is long and concentrated. Release Date: December 1, 2009
Deep garnet; almost black in color. Intense aromatics of cider-smoked ham, bacon fat and graphite intertwine beautifully with green olives, blueberries, raspberries and lavender. Intense aromas of peach blossom, nectarines and honeysuckle explode from the glass. The palate is pristine and focused with wonderful weight and richness, the wine slips across the mouth with succulent texture, and the finish is long with persistent minerality.
Vibrant ruby in color with black tints. Pure aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, and white pepper. Concentrated and intense smoked bacon and graphite nuances add complexity to the wild dark berry and violet flavors
