Veraison (2005)

The crucial time during ripening when the grapes' skin color deepens from an opaque green to a dark purple.

The origin of great wine is superb fruit. Veraison honors this philosophy with its Bordeaux-inspired Cabernet Sauvignon and a blend called Synchrony. The fruit for these wines is sourced from Stagecoach Vineyard.

2005 Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon, Stagecoach Vineyard

Complex aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, cedar, raspberry jam, and vanilla. The palate is full and rich; flavors of black fruits, violets, wild sage, licorice, and earthiness. Great density and firm supportive tannins that lead into a long finish.

A complex, layered nose with subtle aromas of sage, earth, blueberry, black olives, and cedary oak. The palate displays a combination of red berry fruits and earthy notes. Medium bodied with good mid-palate fleshiness, firm mountain tannins, and a long finish

2005 Veraison Synchrony, Stagecoach Vineyard

Inky with black/garnet hues; Cassis, licorice, green olive and wild sage aromas are blanketed with dusty earth and cedary oak. A dense, sweet fruit center attacks the palate, ripe fruit flavors of blueberries, sweet raspberries and black cherry. The tannins frame the mouth perfectly, fine and dusty.
