2006 Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon, Stagecoach Vineyard

Beautifully rich and intense nose: cedary oak, cassis, spice, blood plum, cherry, dark chocolate and vanilla. The wine is distinguished by its fine, integrated, chalky tannins that are supported by strong fruit flavors. While generous and elegant upon release, the wine will become more fleshy in the cellars of the patient among us.

WINE ENTHUSIAST - 2006 Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon

"From the vineyard high up on Atlas Peak comes this delicious, well-made wine. At more than four years of age, it’s still fairly tannic, but fresh and accessible in blackberry and cherry fruit. Just beginning to dry out and show mellow bottle age. A lovely, masculine wine that should develop over the next six years" –SH

WINE SPECTATOR - 2006 Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon

"Firm, intense and marked by complex loamy earth, spice, dried currant, sage and mineral. Full-bodied and intense, a touch rustic at midpalate, with a dense, layered finish. Drink now through 2020. 1,900 cases made." –JL
