Black Bart (2004)

Like the sophisticated gentleman bandit of the late 1800s who crisscrossed Northern California robbing stagecoaches, Black Bart serves as the Krupp Brothers' label for its wild-yet-sophisticated Rhone-varietal wines. Wines include two Syrahs, Marsanne, a whie blend called Black Bart's Bride, and in select years a Syrah Port.

2004 Black Bart Syrah, Stagecoach Vineyard

Rich red-black hue; Aromas of violets, white pepper, cinnamon, saffron, coffee beans and currants, transition smoothly into ripe cherries and sweet vanilla, hazelnut and milk chocolate; Structured, graceful, yet soft tannins weigh upon the mid-palate, silky finish stretches. Great with braised duck, peppered rabbit and other grilled favorites! Enjoy now until 2014. 897 cases produced.
