Aaron Pott

Aaron PottA UC Davis graduate with a master’s in Viticulture from the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, Aaron Pott is as inspired by the gypsy vineyard workers of St. Emilion as he is by the marriage of craft and science that makes good wine. He refined his winemaking talents pulling hoses and eventually making wine at Château Troplong Mondot and Château La Tour Figeac, and after six years with some of the top Bordeaux estates, Aaron returned to the United States to join Beringer Wine Estate.

As the winemaker for the company’s international brands, he not only came to know the cellars and vineyards of some of the finest properties in France, Italy, and South America, he also worked side-by-side with such world winemaking stars as André Porcheret and Jean-Louis Mandrau. Today, Aaron is considered among the Napa Valley’s winemaking elite. In addition to his own label, Pott Wines, he lends his expertise to Quintessa, Blackbird Vineyards, and now Krupp Brothers.
